Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026

Email Boss ("we", "us") is an email triage tool that helps you prioritize your inbox. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name and email address, either from sign-up or from your Google account when you sign in with Google.
  • Connected mailbox data: when you connect Gmail or Zoho Mail, we access your inbox via the provider's API (or an app-specific password for IMAP) to read message metadata and content needed to display and prioritize your emails.
  • OAuth tokens: access and refresh tokens issued by Google or Zoho so we can maintain your connection without asking you to re-authenticate.
  • Preferences: any priority hints or settings you configure in your profile.

How we use your information

  • To display your emails inside Email Boss.
  • To classify email priority (high, medium, low) using an AI model, based on message content and any priority hints you provide.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the service.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Data storage and security

Your account data and OAuth tokens are stored in an encrypted database and are only accessible by systems required to operate Email Boss. Tokens are used solely to access your mailbox on your behalf and are never shared with third parties.

Third-party services

We use Google (Gmail API / OAuth), Zoho Mail, and Google Gemini to provide core functionality. These providers process data only as necessary to deliver the features you use in Email Boss, subject to their own privacy policies.

Your choices

You can disconnect Gmail or Zoho Mail at any time from your profile, which revokes our access to your mailbox. You may also request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
